Last Technology Segment With Steve Price On 2UE |
With the announcement that Steve Price is not going to be with 2UE in 2010 I wanted to thank him for having me on his show this year. I am sad to hear that he is leaving, as it has been an absolute pleasure working with Steve this year and has presented a new opportunity to answer your questions and speak directly to you each.
I look forward to working with Steve again in the future, no doubt he will pop up again somewhere in the world of radio.
Our last technology segment for the Steve Price show on 2UE will be Thursday December 10th at 10:30am. |

Charlie, will your blog still be here...I loved your segment with Steve each Thursday, and I for one will miss you both.
Hi Maureen,
Thanks for your kind words. Yes, the blog will still be here. Be on the look out for some changes though, as it is going through a redesign as we post! It will be lot more functional, and I'm pretty sure people will love the new look

Hi Charlie. Thanks for all your advice on Steve's radio show. I had an old laptop with a Telstra Wireless Mobile card with a pop out antenna. I have just updated to a new laptop that required a USB. I stuck with Telstra as I was advised I could retain my existing email address. I purchased the new USB from a Telstra store (after waiting to speak with Bigpond on the phone for 15mins) & the guy from Gizmo (free from DELL) set me up but I could not retain the same email address. I have since been told by Bigpond that as I purchased a new USB from a Telstra store I have in effect set up a new account & therefore cannot retain my original email address. I am currently running 2 laptops to receive emails from clients still using my old address. How do I get around this? I have Windows 7 but need to streamline all emails onto one laptop or get back my old email address.

Charlie,
Regarding my mobile broadband dongle. When I use the ipconfig dos command I get a different ip address to when I use a firewall check. (grc firewall test)
Running a traceroute on this ip number, I find it belongs to my ISP (Three) Who’s computer firewall is being tested mine or my ISP?
Incidentally ipconfig says my ip # is 10.225. ***.** this is in IANA’s private number range. Using dialup the ipconfig number is always the same as the scanned number. Which is the correct ip number?
Thanks in advance.
Dave
